Photos: December 2014

We hope all our volunteers and supporters around the world had a wonderful Christmas and a happy start to the new year! It was a huge December for Seven Women after we won Moral Fairground's Ethical Enterprise Award. We were featured in articles on several online publications, including Dynamic Business and the Himalayan Times.

Our award success was followed by a great weekend in Melbourne at Fair@Square, another Moral Fairground initiative where we joined other fair trade and ethical businesses at a market in Federation Square.

In the lead up to Christmas we became involved with Good Spender, a project created by Social Traders and Australia Post to support social enterprises, or businesses that contribute to their community.

The literacy classes set up in Chipling Village (in the Nuwakot district) have now been going for six months. The program has been extended as the women involved are asking for more classes and more books.

Here are some of the women from the Kathmandu centre enjoying a picnic:

If you have any Seven Women-related photos we would love to see them! You can post them on our Facebook page, or share them on Twitter or Instagram- make sure you mention or tag us.

Happy new year!
